The Dr. Lewis Condict House in Morristown, NJ was built in 1797 and was occupiedby Condict and his family for many years. Dr. Condict was a congressman, sheriff, andoriginator of the Morris Essex rail line for the town. His influence in the town was veryimportant and helped to make the lives of residents easier. In the 1930’s The Women’sClub of Morristown purchased the house and to this day continues not only helping thecommunity as Condict had, but they also preserve this historical landmark as a sign ofcommunity and history.
